The problems that should be paid attention to during the operation of DCEC engine. If the daily operation of the DCEC engine is not standardized, it will affect the service life and work efficiency of DCEC. Therefore, during the operation of the DCEC engine, the correct operation must be standardized.
Precautions During DCEC Engine Operation:
- Requirements for Normal Engine Start
- DCEC starter does not exceed 30s each time, and the time interval between restarts is 2min.
- The lubricating oil pressure should reach 70KPa within 15s after starting, otherwise check the oil level immediately.
- After starting, the load can be applied at idling speed for 3-5 minutes, otherwise the bearing bush will be short of oil supply in an instant.
- Idle speed should not exceed 10 minutes, otherwise undesirable phenomena such as carbon deposits in the combustion chamber and oil leakage from the DCEC engine turbocharger will occur.
- The water temperature of the DCEC engine should not be lower than 60℃, otherwise the fuel will enter the oil and destroy the lubrication. The water temperature can be increased by accelerating with an empty car.
- After starting in winter, keep idling until the pointer of the water temperature gauge rotates or enter operation after 10 minutes. While observing the water temperature gauge, pay attention to whether the oil pressure gauge meets the requirements. When using auxiliary starting fluid in winter, be sure to use a sprayer with a metering hole.
Precautions During DCEC Engine Operation:
- Basic Engine Operating Requirements
- Always observe the instrument during DCEC engine operation: the water temperature should be between 74°C and 91°C; the oil pressure should be greater than 70KPa at idling speed, and should be within the range of 276-517kPa when it is above 1200r/min.
- If the DCEC engine is overheated, run it at a reduced load. If it is overheated after running for a period of time under reduced load, the machine should be shut down to check the fault.
- During DCEC engine operation, you should pay close attention to the changes in the following conditions of the engine. If any one of them changes suddenly, it is likely to be a sign of failure. Please check and repair it in time.
1)Engine extinguishes or catches fire badly;
2)Vibration;
3)The engine has abnormal noise;
4)Sudden changes in generator working pressure and temperature;
5)Engine exhaust smoke is too large;
6)Insufficient engine power;
7)Increased oil consumption;
8)Increased fuel consumption;
9)Fuel, oil or water leaks.
Precautions During DCEC Engine Operation:
- Engine Operating Range
- When the DCEC engine is lower than the maximum torque speed, the full throttle operation should not exceed 30s, otherwise the overhaul life of the engine will be shortened and the engine may be seriously damaged. DCEC diesel generator sets work best above the maximum torque speed point, so it is recommended to run DCEC engine within this range.
Note: EMAC recommends that you do not run the DCEC engine above the maximum idle speed under any circumstances or environment.
Precautions During DCEC Engine Operation:
- DCEC Engine Operating in a Cold Environment
- As DCEC agent EMAC, we recommend that you use special oil, fuel and coolant when running the engine in extremely cold environments.
Precautions During DCEC Engine Operation:
- Engine Shutdown
- The DCEC engine is required to idle for 3-5 minutes before stopping. Because the diesel engine idling for 3-5 minutes before stopping each time, the oil can take away the heat in the combustion chamber, bearings and oil seals, especially the supercharger. According to EMAC’s many years of experience, if a sudden shutdown occurs, the bearing and oil seal are likely to be seized.
- The purpose of DCEC engine shutdown can be achieved by cutting off the current of the fuel pump solenoid valve.
